WHAT'S NEW

Our new "Big Foot" finishing press is delivering results—and savings—from our customers who are using it. You can be more economical—and get more dramatic results—if you take advantage of what this press has to offer: hot foil and embossed stamping that uses 50 tons of pressure to lay multiple foil colors and raises embossing to a new level.

Using the Big Foot module lets you choose from a wider array of foil options, and gain impact with deeper embossing and debossing, too. Watch it in action! Ask us how you can take advantage of this while designing your label.

INSPIRATION CORNER

Millennials drank 42% of all wine in the U.S. last year, more than any other generation. Their motto? "Keep your friends close and your glass of wine closer." At least, that's what it says in the perfect pairing of Someecards—the #1 social media brand in America—and the 1026 Beverage Co. Our blog post highlights how SomeWine translates the humor of e-cards into real labels, overcoming the challenges of that job with the help of Labeltronix. Have some challenges for us to tackle? Give us a call.

ASK THE LABEL EXPERT

Q: What do retailers say about what works—and what doesn't—in wine packaging?

A: Our answers come from last month's Wines & Vines Packaging Conference, where we learned that "labels are an especially important consideration for women," according to Gary Fisch, owner of Gary's Wine and Marketplace stores in New Jersey. One survey revealed that 46% of consumers find "traditional, classic and sophisticated" labels most appealing. "Having a beautiful label is important," said Debbie Zachareas, the co-owner and partner of Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant in San Francisco and Oxbow Wine and Cheese Merchant in Napa, Calif. Label paper that isn't durable is another problem for retailers. "Paper should be scuff proof — especially for Champagne and large-format bottles," she said. Have more packaging questions? Call us! We have answers.
