Labeling Digest

Will we see you in Philly at the Craft Beer Conference Wednesday - Friday? If you're going, check out Booth 3054 to see how we can help you with your label printing, and with our Lean Labeling.

In other news this month:

Contact me to make an appointment with my collegue in Philly or on the phone with me to talk about your brand.

You've got the Grammy's, the Oscars, and the FTA's Excellence in Flexography Awards. The last one is the world's most prestigious and longest running print competition of its kind—and we won five awards this year. Here's how Packaging Strategies covered the news! We also just took home two "Best of Category" awards from the Printing Industries Association of Southern California. Our team works on every label as though it will win an award someday. And winning awards confirms our value proposition to you. Contact me to learn more!

Do you ever scan the Internet for labeling inspiration? We do, and found some interesting news: A look at craft beer and labeling from "down under," including the view that labeling designs should grab you from afar, and from an app. Western Kentucky U. is opening a university-based craft brewery, and labeling will be one of the lessons. And a shout-out to one of our customers from Beverage World about the "laid back" brand image of a Three Monkeys brew that won the publication's 2015 BevStar Award. Send us your Internet Inspirations.

Q: How do I choose the best label material for my brand?

A: That's one of the first questions we're asked by our craft customers. Application and design are driving factors. We'll ask you these questions to find the answer.

  • What materials and enhancements will bring your design and brand to life? Customers are drawn to tactile papers, metallic or foil enhancements and, of course, eye-catching graphics that convince the consumer to pick the bottle up and hold it.
  • How do you apply labels to your bottles/cans? The type of machinery you use—before and after labeling—makes a difference.
  • Under what conditions do you bottle or can? The wetter the bottling or canning environment, the more it matters.

We'll be sure to consider both the design and functionality of your label to convey to the consumer that this is a quality product. Call or email us today for consultation.
